Austin Peralta, a pianist and composer based out of Los Angeles, works as a musician in a diversity of contexts both locally and internationally.

Assignment July 22, 2011

Layla:

Voice Lesson:

1. Practice Sight singing (M/W/F)

2. Put a musical vocabulary each week, and this week is

Accent (>) – to emphasize or stress a note, put it on a flash card.

3. Practice “I need you to love me” with original 1 x and 5 times on your own with karaoke track.

Piano Lesson:

1. Bring blank index cards to make flash cards for intervals.

2. Review Lesson Book on Fifths, play it 5x per M/W/F.

3. On Technique & Artistry Book, work on 5th, and wrist twist off like a ballon, both hands 5x per M/W/F.

4. Performance Book page 14 5x per M/W/F.

5. Theory Book: work on Fifths page 16-17 from #1-4.

Kayla:

Voice Lesson:

1. Practice Sight singing (M/W/F)

Olivia:

1. Vocalise with Warm up CD (M/W/F)

2. Practice Sight Singing, and good job on sight singing in class.

3. Choose a new song to sing for the next class.  Once we know which program we’re participating, we’ll be clear on repertoire to work on.

Yoko:

1. Vocalise daily.

2. Concone 1, 2, 3.

3. O Cessate di piagarmi

4. The Castle song/Japanese.
